It does not seem like the author took into account any of the physics behind how a Tesla coil works. A Tesla coil is an LC inductor-capacitor circuit, the primary and secondary coils being the inductors, and the capacitor obviously and the top load being the capacitors.
The values of the capacitors and inductors matter, without getting into the physics too much, there is a proportion to the two circuits the primary and secondary , so that the system is resonant. With how poorly the secondary is wound here, I doubt that the author had any specific inductance value in mind, and same goes for the primary. The final nail in the coffin is that the capacitance of the capacitor is not even specified, so this was clearly assembled without much thought.
Like the author said at the end, the Tesla coil relies on resonance, but only by some crazy odds could this system be resonant. That’s not to say that it won’t produce sparks if it isn’t resonant, but you would be wasting a lot of the power from the transformer, and would get some very underwhelming results. Search General Motors Fuel Gauge Troubleshooting Fuel gauge troubleshooting begins with isolating the problem either to the gauge, sending unit, fuse or wiring. The most common gauge problems are either a bad ground at the tank, or a sender problem. As with any electrical troubleshooting, it is best to check the fuse and all wiring connections are clean, tight and free of corrosion.
The first place to start is to check the ignition 12 volt power feed at the fuel gauge to see that it is powered up. If you DO NOT have 12 volts ignition on the fuel gauge, check the gauge fuse to see if it is good, and make sure the ignition switch is powering the ignition pink wire on the ignition blade of the switch. Next, check the fuel tank float assembly to see if the grounding terminal on the float assembly has a good grounding point to the chassis. If the ground wire looks good, the problem most likely resides in the fuel tank float assembly, and may need to be replaced.
Most manufacturers do not offer instructions for refrigerant servicing small refrigeration units that incorporate capillary tube refrigerant expansion devices because correct charge is different and critical for each design. Mike Ervin Update by: All of these gauges are in-dash units so I had to figure out how I was going to mount them. I have seen setups with all of them mounted on the face of the bezel, and also using the billet aluminum replacement bezel that you can buy from LMC. I just didn’t like the way it looked after you get them in. The gauges are tilted forward on the same plain as the bezel which makes it hard to see them. After a lot of thought I went ahead and ordered the gauges still not fully having made up my mind on what I was going to do.
